The Great Barrier Reef stretches for 1240 miles along the east coast of Australia, from just below the tropic of Capricorn to south of Papua New Guinea. It is the only natural wonder of the world visible from space and the most extensive reef system in the world. Luckily, in our case it is right outside our back door.
